Target haul

So, this is not one of my most newer videos this past week but it is one of my more recent videos that I posted recently. I wanted to show you some of the natural products that I tend to get at target. Along with some new items that I found on sale with the weekly target deals that they have. I love shopping at target and you can find a ton of target store deals if you shop there enough and know where to look.

Each week, especially around this time of year right before and after each season ends they always have a ton of stuff on clearance shelves in just about every category. One of my favorite spots is when they drop the prices down super low in the beauty section. I was able to get a new product that I have never tried before like the S.W. Basics Rosewater Cleanser and their Apple Cider Vinegar facial toner.

These products work really well together and have done quite a number on my skin, which left me quite impressed. My husband likes the Olivella Daily Facial wipes which he uses to refresh his skin throughout the day at work. I love the Alba Botanica Hawaiian Detox Volcanic Clay wipes. I was able to get all these products on sale for a discounted price.

In fact, I even made a video to show some of the products I got. Now, mind you, not all the products are natural, just as my husband does not like all natural products all the time.

Tell me what sort of products do you love to get at target?

how to buy natural beauty

With a boom in the recent years with a push towards healthy living and eating, there is an increase in people wanting to buy natural beauty products. Many want to have natural beauty products that are not bad on their skin and hope to heal certain aliments that might be bothering them. I know for fact that I have always tried to buy natural, mainly because I have had skin issues since I was a child.

Even to this day I still tend to have some, however now I am learning I might actually have a food allergy which could be contributing some of my own issues.

However for the rest of us, it  shouldn't take a degree in chemical engineering to be able to read a skin cleanser label. But with multi-syllable words and mystery chemicals, you don't really know what you are putting on your face and body when you use popular, commercial products. By choosing certified organic skin care products and handmade natural bath and body products, you can be confident in their origin, purpose and function.

At least that is what I have experienced in my natural beauty shopping. You still need to read the ingredients however and don't get fooled just because it says organic or natural ingredients.  Each person is unique and reacts differently to different formulas.  Especially when it comes to hair care,  no one person hair on their head is the same as the next persons.  In my household we have many different shampoos and conditioners because their are so many different variances in our kinky curly hair texture in my household.

If your a kinky hair girl, I'm sure you could relate.  😉

And, yet your delicate skin is the first line of defense against sun, pollution, wind, stress and germs. As the largest organ in your body, contributing 15% to 20% of your total body weight, it is easy to neglect your skin because it is so easy to take for granted. But your skin has many important jobs to do and it needs the proper nutrition and care to perform at its highest level.

Nutrition and care for skin comes from both the inside and the outside.

In addition to proper nutrition and exercise, sufficient sleep and plenty of water, your skin requires a daily regime that helps it regenerate and combat both internal and external factors. Natural organic skin care products can nourish your skin rather than stripping it of essential oils and introducing irritations such as fragrances, preservatives, harsh detergents and unnecessary chemicals.

Botanical's and purely organic ingredients perform the same functions as commercial detergents but with a simpler, gentler process.

Organic skin care uses natural, certified ingredients to work together in synergy to accomplish the same goals as commercial products without the harsh effects. But like I said earlier some of the smaller companies are not able to pay the fee to get certified organic on their labels, but many are just as good.  That is why it is good to do your research and stick to what I call the simple rule. Of making sure you understand the ingredients list and that it is down to very minimal ingredients.

Simple is always best, trust me a little can go a long way.

Organic natural handmade soap and cleansers gently remove make up, dirt, oils and pollution without stripping your skin. Natural fats and oils found in our body butters and organic lotions moisturize tone and protect the skin from sun, aging, wind and pollution. Organic face creams and body lotions serve a protective layer especially in sensitive areas such as the face and neck. Anti-aging antioxidants are naturally introduced.

And there is a limited  fear of sensitivity issues since organic ingredients are simple and pure. 😉

Your skin can not differentiate between good and bad chemicals. It indiscriminately absorbs whatever chemicals you slather on your face and body. By choosing Eco-friendly, natural organic body care products, you know that your skin is absorbing products rooted in nature and simply prepared by hand, with in the highest quality with the least chemical processes. And most of the time you can also be assured that no product will introduce a rash, irritation or allergic reaction because its ingredients are pure and natural.

And that is best thing we can do for our selves.

Read the first ingredient on the side of the container. By law, the list of ingredients must be listed in their order of concentrate. ( MEANING THE FIRST  ONE LISTED IS WHAT THE PRODUCT IS MOSTLY MADE UP OF.) This applies to food labels also. 😉

If you don’t recognize the names in the ingredients, do you really want to put it on your face?

Your skin can not differentiate between good and bad skin care products, but you can. Choose a holistic approach by utilizing organic body care and all natural skin care products for the purest and simplest choice.

Hello, my beautiful ones, I basically wanted to post and let you know that I have made a new video on my updated hair regimen.  As my hair gets longer, I have come to realization that I love trying new products.   Especially all natural products at that.

What I have discovered is that my hair type tends to love the same basic simple ingredients.Such as honey, aloe Vera,  natural oils, butters, cream and oil based shampoos.  When I use products that tend to have at least most or all of these ingredients my hair does really well.  So when I do decide to purchase products to try out on my hair, I always go for the ones that have these essentials right at the op of the list.

Part one of the video will explain in more detail for you.

Products listed include:

Giovanni Direct Leave In – Absolute Fave for a leave in,  I have yet to find a better one.

Griffin Remedy Shampoo.

Curl Junkies Deep Fix

Terresentials Product Line

Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner – Alikay Naturals

Oyin Handmade Hemp and Honey Conditioner

Jane Carter Nourish and Shine.

beautyNow today in modern society where everything is pretty much big business and all about how to make a buck. We are constantly bombarded with ads in magazines and on television how we can find beauty in a bottle. They always seem to have some sort of way to fix this or make that.

They make money hand over fist selling products to us that are “supposed” to make us look more youthful, give us softer looking skin, hide our imperfections, and make us look like a supermodel. But they are not so forthright in telling us that their products are full of chemical ingredients that can do more harm to us than good. Looking younger in the moment is just not worth it though when you may eventually get cancer because the skincare products you were using contained carcinogenic chemicals. For beautiful skin and good health on the inside as well we need to rediscover natural skincare ingredients and products. Your skin is your biggest organ and it needs to be treated with care.

If you really care about your health from the inside out, then you must make a resolve to get rid of conventional products and start using organic and natural ingredients in your beauty routines. Here are some easy ways to go natural:

1. Keep your skin healthy from the inside with a healthy diet. Also drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and impurities. Water is an internal shower for your body so make sure to drink your eight to ten glasses a day. Water helps to give you clear eyes, a radiant complexion and helps to flush out all those nasty toxins while keeping your cells healthy.

2. Use Natural oils and natural moisturizers that won't clog your pores. Essential oils are composed of tiny molecules which are easily dissolved into the human skin.. This will allow them to penetrate the skin easily and work into the body by mixing with the fatty tissue. Some great oils to use include jojoba oil, coconut oil and my favorite is Grape seed Oil. This oil is Awesome for combination skin and anyone with sensitive skin.

3. Coconut oil is a great all natural moisturizer for skin, but my favorite is pure Shea butter for mixed with either jojoba oil or grape seed oil. I just tend to mix them together and apply them after a bath. Love it love it. .

4. Skip washing your hair everyday with shampoos that contain sulfates and parabens and instead use no poo shampoos and conditioners. This method is proven to work well on curly and straight hair. As sulfates tend to dry your hair out and strip of its natural oils.

5. To wash make-up off just rub some olive oil onto your face and wipe off with a soft, dry rag that will exfoliate your face as well. Microfiber cloths are particularly nice for cleansing the face.

6. I use cotton balls to apply my toner which is usually just grape seed oil which is my toner and moisturizer all in one. It is full of fatty acids and vitamins like A, C, and E.

7. Try your hand at making your own skin care products with easy ingredients like salt, sugar, oatmeal, milk, honey, olive oil, or avocado oil. They are cost effective and you know exactly what you are putting on your skin. You don’t need a chemistry degree to create beauty products of your own.

In fact a great book to get you started is  Organic Body Care Recipes this book this is a great  starter  book to learning about the natural health benefits of making your own natural beauty products, and how to make your own. I refer to this book time and time again to make my own handmade bath and body products.

8. Dry brush your body to exfoliate your skin and slough off dead skin cells. This is a centuries old practice that is still used by many today.

9. When purchasing products read the labels carefully and only buy products with recognizable ingredients, organic if possible, without parabens or fragrance.

10. Get some sun every day but not too much. Your skin needs sunlight for optimum health but staying out to long and damaging your skin isn’t good either so strike a balance and wear protective clothes and a big sun hat if you can instead of using chemical sunscreens.

I hope that all these tips can help you get started taking more natural steps towards a more natural hair and beauty care.

I finally got my package in the mail from a great handmade natural bath and body product company Called Three Seed Naturals. Three seed naturals is a bath and body product company that sells handmade body lotions, sugar body scrubs, body creams, and lip balms and lots more.

I was able to get my package pretty quickly and it was rather fast to say the least less than two days, which is great. I am sort of a person that likes to get things right then and there and this really did the trick for me since it got to my home pretty quick.

A plus in my book!

The first thing that I noticed was that it was packaged really nicely nothing was falling out or breaking out of the bottle or anything. Inside was a nice little kitchen magnet that I will be using to place on my fridge to remind me to buy once I run out of the products again.

I decided to use the products that same night, In the shower I used the three seed naturals sugar body scrub in fresh lemon grass and boy o’ boy was that scent to die for. I love really earthy and woodsy scents and this will be a keeper for sure. The scrub is a little more oilier than other scrubs that I have used, but that is good thing I think since my skin was really moist after-wards.

I have really, really dry skin and that was another plus.

After I got out of the shower I tried the Three Seed Naturals Signature pomegranate Ultra Moisturizing Cream which is also made without parabens or phthlates. The cream is really decadent in feel and texture and makes you want to taste it. Smells really good and really did the job for my dry skin needs. I could have left it that way and would have been just fine but I decided to put the Almond Vanilla Everyday Body Lotion on. That stuff is cool and creamy and works just as well as the ultra one; however I like to use both because of my dry skin needs.

I then Top it all off with some jojoba oil to seal in all that good stuff!

As you can see if you would like to get some really cool, smell good and might even taste good all natural bath and body products which are made without parabens and phthlates. Than Three Seed Naturals is a company you might want to give a try.

I love trying out new up and coming handmade bath and body products from new companies, they always seem to put the best love into their products.

I also did a review a video review of the products and you can check that out below.
