Homemade Natural Stain Remover

There are many different ways to make and use homemade natural stain removers, I tend to buy them most of the time. However, when you are short on time and want really need a quick solution to get a stain out of your clothes or anything else in your house. You might want to try mixing coconut oil with a solution to help rid the stain loose. Coconut oil is great for so many uses, and can really help to loosen up stains in a short period of time.

If you have a stain on your carpet, rug, or clothing, you might be trying to use a store-bought product to remove the stain. Not only are these not always the most effective method, but they often contain harsh ingredients you might not want on your body or in your home. A better option is to turn to natural stain removers, such as those listed here.

Homemade Basic Stain Remover Spray:

This first natural stain remover only contains a few simple ingredients in order to help you get rid of stains on clothing or other fabrics without using any harsh ingredients. You can put the finished mixture in a spray bottle and keep it in your laundry room. Spray stains before putting clothes or linens in the washer, and it should work great.

For the simplest recipe, you just need some natural soap, such as Dr. Bronners Sal Suds, water, and coconut oil, plus a spray bottle. Combine the ingredients in the bottle, then spray it on the stains before washing.

Other Ingredients to Use

You can also use a variety of other natural ingredients to make your own stain remover spray. You may find your own formula that works best for you and want to keep it a secret, or you can find a combination that people often like to use. Here are some of the best options for natural ingredients when talking about a stain remover:

* Baking Soda
* Vinegar
* Hydrogen Peroxide
* Natural Soap
* Coconut Oil
* Lemon Juice
* Oxygen Bleach

When you are putting together your very own natural stain remover, make sure you are careful about it and that you don’t test it on a large piece of fabric or clothing. Test it on something like a towel first to make sure it doesn’t change the color of the material or cause other bad reactions.

Once you have made your natural stain remover with coconut oil and other natural ingredients, make sure you never rub the stain. Whether it is in carpet, your clothing, or linens, blotting should always be done. If you catch the stain following a spill when it is wet, blot it dry with paper towels first. You can then spray the stain and blot it once more. The only exception is when it is on clothing you are about to put in the washer. You can apply the stain remover, let it sit for a few minutes, then put it in the washer.

I hope this helps!

I love essential oils, I use them in my homemade hair products, I buy natural bar soaps that have essential oil in them, I even use aromatherapy oils for home air fresheners in my home. They are great for so many uses!

Aromatherapy oils are oils that are created from natural elements. They’re also called essential oils. They range from lavender to grapefruit and everything in between. They offer a number of therapeutic benefits, cleaning help and even health benefits.

Here Are Nine Smart Ways of Using Aromatherapy Oils in Your Home

how to use aromatherapy

#1 Water Diffuser and Room Freshener.

Add six to eight drops of your favorite scent to a bowl of water. If the water is warm, it will help spread the scent more quickly. You could place the bowl on a table or counter. If you’re really in need of a quick freshening, simply add the drops to a pan of boiling water. Choose your essential oils based on your mood or need. For example, if you want to freshen up your home lemon, verbena, orange or other light scents are ideal. If you’re looking to relax, try lavender or sandalwood.

#2 Room and Linen Deodorizer.

Add a few drops of essential oil to water in a spray bottle. Keep a bottle in your bathroom. Spray near pet areas. Or use the spray to freshen linens. Lavender spray in your bedroom is a great way to add a relaxing scent.

#3 Sachet and Closet Freshener.

Add a few drops of essential oils to cotton balls and place in drawers or your closet. Lavender, cedar or sandalwood are nice choices.

#4 Heat Diffuser.

Place a few drops of essential oils on a cotton ball or wool ball and place inside a heating vent. When your furnace kicks on the blower will help spread the scent throughout your home.

#5 Sinus Remedy.

If you’re ill or struggling with congestion place eucalyptus oil in hot water. Consider placing the oil in a hot water vaporizer as well.

#6 Refrigerator Deodorizer.

Place several drops of orange, mint or lemon oil in a bucket of warm water. With a clean sponge, use the water to clean out your refrigerator.

#7 Counter Cleaner.

Add lemon, thyme, basil or even geranium oil to equal parts distilled white vinegar and water. Use to clean countertops in your kitchen and bathroom.

#8 Light bulb room freshener.

Place a drop of your favorite oil on your light bulbs. Make sure to add the oil when the bulbs are cold. When the light is on and the bulb heats up it will heat the oil and fill the room with scent. Consider placing lavender oil on bedroom light bulbs to relax. And invigorating grapefruit or other citrus scent in your home office.

#9 Furniture polish.

Add four to six drops of lemon essential oil to half a cup of olive oil. With a clean dry rag, use the oil to polish wood furniture.

Essential oils fill your home with fresh and natural scents. You can be sure you’re providing your loved ones with a safe environment free from harmful chemicals when you use aromatherapy oils to clean and deodorize your home.

Remember how on my last post I talked about the benefits of Essential Oils,  and how how I love the role they play in the everyday health of beauty and natural living. Well I was given the chance to review the Essio Shower Aromatherapy Shower Kit Diffuser!

I was totally stoked since just the thought of  taking a shower with essential oils dripping down infusing the air with scents of relaxation, was all you had to to to get me hooked.  I was sent the starter kit which comes with the shower Essio Shower Attachment and three pods full of essential oils that would last 3-5 showers each with heavenly scents. You might be thinking just three to five showers a piece, well I don't plan on using it for every shower.  I just use them on those days when I really need to wind down and rest pretty quickly. 😉

The three pods inside the starter includes:

 Breathe A refreshing aromatic blend of peppermint and eucalyptus which will help to clear sinuses and decrease congestion. While at the same creating a relaxing element for yours senses and body

Passion Gives a Mysterious, exciting complex synergistic mix of orange, lavender and patchouli. Which creates a sensual aroma.

Unwind – This delightful, restorative blend combo gives an air of citrus and spice floral tones for a atmosphere of lightness and will promote instant relief.

The only thing I pretty much had to do was open the box, attach it to the shower rod above the shower head, activate the pod by turning it counterclockwise and turn on the shower. It was super simple and took less than five minutes to attach and use.

Just so you know, the Essio Shower Aromatherapy kit is free from synthetic additives, fragrance, color or preservatives. The essential oils all come from natural plant based extracts.

It did not leave my shower to oily at all, if your concerned about that I would recommend a shower mat.

I really left my shower all though it was quick during the  day, feeling refreshed and uplifted. More so relaxed!

Will I buy this product again,  Yes, I will 😉 I want to explore their other oils and how well they work.

I really think the Essio Shower is something really cool and it really did bring the spa to my home!

A tip though with the UN – used pods, you can place them on your dresser and it will fill up the whole room with great scents.
